Private vs. Shared Kenai River Fishing Charters

When booking a Kenai River fishing trip with Fishology, you have the choice of either a private/exclusive trip, or a shared trips that are booked by the seat and shared with other customers.  Both are great options for different reasons, it really just depends on your specific scenario and needs for the trip(s).  Our river trips can accommodate a party of 4-5 people per boat, so if you have a party of 4 or 5 people your choice is made for you, but if you have a party of 2 or 3 (or even 6) then you’ve got a choice to make!  Below are some reasons why you might choose each option for your Kenai River fishing trip:

Shared Trip
1. You prefer to have others on board to chat with
2. It fits your budget better
3. You have 4 or 5 people in your party

Private/Exclusive Trip
1. You aren’t comfortable sharing the boat with other anglers
2. You prefer to spend their day on the river without interruptions or distractions
3. You don’t want to be crowded
4. You want full control of the fishing decisions
5. You want full control of the trip timing
6. You have young kids on board

I can assure you that all Fishology guides (aka Fishologists) are very accustom to having beginners, experts, kids, couples, families, fishing buddies, and every type of angler you can imagine on board our Kenai River fishing trips.  Our goal is to make everyone feel comfortable no matter your scenario, and I’m confident we can do that whether you choose the shared or private charter option. But if you have more questions about anything that we offer don’t hesitate to reach out!
